The twentieth century has often been referred to as the “age of anxiety”.
Over the past thirty years there have been massive studies and scientific findings by people like Scott Peck who have pointed out that anxiety is endemic to modern society.
Why it is now in our society and what is it about the twentieth century that has contributed to increasing anxiety and depression. My own experience with anxiety both professionally and personally has lead me to believe that anxiety has its core roots embedded in the individual and collective state of separation and disconnection.
All this arises from the stressful lives that we live, the pressure that we as human beings expect to achieve our goals or our defined and fixed beliefs of how our lives should be in any given moment of our daily existence. Depression and Anxiety also has its foundations in all of our past learning’s and early childhood programming from society and our main caregivers.
The separation I am talking about is to give you some idea of what I mean is on many various levels, including separation from family, from your community at large, from cultural institutions, from nature, and most essentially from one’s self and a higher part of one’s mine that does have the answers at times embedded as emotions. This part I am talking about is “not mystical” part that many of us shy away from yet what science is now describing as our Subconscious Mind.
In my recent studies and research papers I’ve read and working with many people over many years, I have come to a great understanding of what it is that is needed to make the changes to become a much better equipped human being to cope with mental illness.
I will discuss anxiety first here so that you can have an understanding what is needed to make permanent change in your life using simple tools without the necessary backup of medication. Although at times temporary measures with this system is required.
Although in some cases it is required that the symptoms are so acute meditation with certain individuals will be the first step to help bring back some kind of normality before you can start applying the simple tools I work with.
Anxiety or what is termed Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a condition which is rapidly becoming common in today’s society. It is when a person wellbeing and life is affected by the constant worry or what I term the past, future and your life in general. These worries can become so extreme that the sufferer’s day to day life is affected.
From my research and work that I’ve been involved with to date I have discovered there is a specific type of thinking and a belief pattern that is stored in the subconscious mind which links to GAD? It is when this way of thinking becomes your major concern and conclusion to life. The chemicals in the brain change and the symptoms start. It is as if you have no control over your life and your actions.
What we have found it is not a particular event which is the cause of anxiety, yet how one interprets this event. Therefore it has now been proven that your beliefs (thoughts) activated via this event or situation which are the real cause. What we have discovered if it was the event or situation alone then every one who has experienced a traumatic event in life would end up suffering from GAD, what reality has shown us this is not true.
My work with is showing great success towards a full recovery and permanent change in peoples lives. What is needed with most people here is not only healing, yet an education of you they can take your own life back using and applying the simple methods that I teach.
I gently guide you here, and I am available as your mentor and coach to help you understand why you have brought yourself into this situation and how we can turn this around, living a life of knowing that in any given moment you have the tools to change any situation.
